A carp fishing paradise!
We have some of the best carp fishing flats in the country here in Alcova. Walking the beaches and sand flats sight fishing for cruising carp is a blast. Targeting these fish can be really fun on my hog island poling skiff as well! I typically spend about a third of the day poling around in the skiff and the other two thirds of the day wading the beaches. It can be fun to take a break from trout and spend a day on the lake. Late May through August is prime time for these beast.
